Is it Cruel?

Well it's definitely unusual

I read on Blabbermouth.net this morning that the US Military uses heavy metal and children's singalong music to gain cooperation of Iraqi military interogatees

Apparently, the military uses extended sessions of Metallica's Enter Sandman; the Drowning Pool's Bodies; Sesame Street and Barney singalong songs to break down the resistance of interogatees

It was said that the concept behind this is to break a subject's resistance by annoying that person with what some Iraqis would consider culturally offensive music ... I guess the point is that most of the captives have never heard such music before and it drives them nuts

Now my question is, does this violate the international convention against torture?

Off I go to the gym, Black album is the choice of driving music
