Today is back to school day ... I guess it's kind of a get back in the swing; get back in the routine day for the Luau ... a lot of rust has built up over the past month so hopefully we can shake it off and get back in gear
On a side note, for those who have watched this site degrade totally in anticipation of Metallica's new album, there was a press release this morning from Elektra Records that they would move up the release date to this Thursday ... a whole 5 days!!! ... and the reason given was avoidance of piracy and allowing fans the opportunity to listen to full production as opposed to substandard audio copies ... so some good news today (to me at least ... ha)
Oh, and "NOT"Allica making an unofficial secret return to Donington yesterday ...

I'm still backlogged with three more to do, but not any of the three you listed ... sorry
some observations about the three though:
ex-Depeche Mode Dave ... actually he has a player on his website --- haven't listened to the tracks all the way through (I've listened to about 2 mins of each), but he gives you goodly chunks (seems like full clips) ... my initial impression of what I hear is kind of DM-like ... its familiar but not that interesting sounding or that has grabbed me ... I probably wouldn't buy --- sounds like C/D grade stuff
And Sugar Ray ... hmmm, about as totally pop as can be now?? ... hard to imagine they were once a really so cal punk band
Jewel is going pop and sex kitten, it's causing a minor stir --- but then again, I don't watch MTV, ET, or E! enough to comment any further
dammit... i need more reviews!
what about Dave Gahans new one? Is it any good? What did you think about the new SugarRay album? I just bought it today? What about Jewel doing dance music on her new CD?
