Late night marvel

Upon a redux viewing, I must say that Spiderman 2 delivered the goods for comic book movies so far this year ... in fact, I will go (not too far) on the limb to say that this one is the best comic book movie of the year ... whoa, how dangerous I am, ha

I think that what is great about the movie is that it really captured the flow, intensity, and action of Spiderman -- It also captured the misguided ambiguity of his villains

I think that it can be easy to pick apart the limited performances of the supporting actors and actresses ... but the comic book genre is less filled with long-winded narrative, and more filled with images that convey what 300 words cannot -- action that carries the story ahead

That was the beauty of the film ... the personal turmoil of hiding a secret identity was played out very well, and contemporized for today's audience ... there's really not much to pick at

This movie picks you up like a wave and carries you through to the other side, it's a really nice adventure and entertaining distraction ... very highly recommended

An interesting point you made about human drama -- sometimes it feels so contrived in the other superhero films

this one really hit the gold mine in terms of finding the appropriate balance between "Picasso Trigger" and "On Golden Pond" -- talk about obscure, ha

I agree with you that the train sequence was a make or break element of the movie ... now that I think about it, that one sold it out -- after doing that, what more would you have to do? you would have to find deeper meaning to continue on and keep doing it

i really enjoyed the human element of this film. Most of the time in superhero flicks they try to add the human element but more often than not they fail miserably because its just a side story they throw in. Did anyone here feel sorry for the Hulk?

Spiderman moved fast... the story was paced perfectly. Even if you didnt see the first one there was lots to appreciate in this one. What i liked the most was there wast such a heavy reliance on CGI but it was used when needeed. The human element and the conflict peter had with himself is what made the story so great.

The scene where he stops the train... talk about tense! Now THATS how to film a intense sequence....
