The humidity is just awesome, this of course in comparison to the relative lack of humidity in the LV
Apparently the first tropical storm is bearing down on us, I don't want an ugly storm -- but some much needed rain would be nice to cool us down
Speaking also on water, SD and I went to see Open Water -- the latest of the shaky DV flicks
Some impressions -- comes in at a very short 79 mins. -- you can draw the obvious conclusions and you would be correct -- character development is at a bare bare minimum
If you are like me, you had a certain feeling while watching Blair Witch Project -- strangely I got the same feeling with OW -- in summary, after seeing it, I don't understand all the positive hype about it
Basically, it comes down to, why should I care? The movie didn't give me enough to care about these people lost IN sea ... note: not lost AT sea
Same BWP problems here ... no, it's not as bad as Day After Tomorrow, but it's pretty damn close in my book ... keep your money safe, this one is an F
Sounds like a lot better movie than Open Water ... there is clearly a difference in letting characters breathe life -- like The Village, and as you are saying, Green Tea -- and giving them short shrift
The only lengthy dialog the characters had was whether they were going to oof or not the night before the dive -- does that make you care about them? What a waste of celluloid
I just saw Mari Iijima in the independant film, Green Tea-r and while the movie was short (30 minutes I think) it was a captivating short. There was no character development as well but the characters were not flat or lifeless either. I suppose the storyline allowed the characters to breathe life into themselves in a short amount of time.
I'm still not sure if there was a moral to the story or not but it did shed light on what happened right before the A-bomb on Hiroshima, the tragedy of war and the power of forgiveness.
