Did well

Watched the debate again this afternoon, why is it that they have a debate on Friday night -- opposite playoff baseball -- umm, am I the only one that detects some cynicism and strategic planning -- obviously a large part of the audience won't watch -- and in many ways, I didn't have to watch the Bombers bomb the Twins, and then make it a little bit too exciting at the end of the game

That aside, I thought Kerry did well again -- el Presidente looked pretty off and frazzled in the first half an hour, he settled in later -- Kerry was just even the whole night through, and felt very open to the crowd -- Ironically, I think El Busho did better on social issues, it was really playing to the base with his stuff -- in the end, I think Kerry won it, but Bush probably solidified his support after a shaky first debate -- and off we go again ...

Saw the Friday Night Lights tonight movie -- and it was a fairly entertaining movie based on the real life accounts of Texas high school football in 1988 -- Billy Bob is just a real solid actor, another excellent performance -- the ensemble was competent enough as actors, thought the actor who played James "Boobie" Miles was really excellent -- some of the football action was a bit oversold, in fact some of the hits would have been personal fouls for spearing -- you get my point ... nothing particularly great or horrible about the movie -- it's a really a movie about small towns, big dreams, and status -- a solid B/B+
