I had originally written something about Bush and his Dred Scott comment -- I had seen many blog entries about it being proxy codetalk for scrapping Roe v. Wade -- given the nature of his answer and the words used in Roe, it is not an unreasonable assumption

All of this shows me that there is a great mistrust of our current leadership by a sizable number in our country -- there is also a virtually equal sizable number that is almost blindly supportive of the leadership -- in many ways, it explains the dysfunctional and fractured tone within our country today -- I kind of suspect that this was what it was like during the Vietnam War era, again it seems that Santayana was right
