Locally, the big surprise was the wave that Mufi rode to victory --- ERR, I mean the lead -- an unexpected comeback -- reminds me almost of them Sawx -- heck, he even gave HALF an acceptance speech then HAD TO STOP -- my god, this is comedy of the highest order, who fuct up here I ask?
OOPS, we found 4,000 more ballots
There's something that sticks in the back of my mind that tells me that Mufi will get bit in the ass again -- something about people with ties to Boston -- something that tells me look for the heartbreak defeat
Anyways, that should be settled soon, I hope -- I would like to sleep tonight

I was going to say that tonight was the night that the Rs could just CHOKE ON IT for Hawaii
All their BS tactics with dirty campaigning especially from the mainland RNC guys for new R candidates all seem to have flopped pretty royally
Some pundits and academics are calling it the Referendum on Lingle -- I'll call it right now, in 2006, Lingle will roll -- she just doesn't seem to have any coattails
All the candidates she put her name behind and the RNC behind, most of them got wiped, and then vet Rs got wiped off the slate too --
All it shows me is that Hawaii is overall a very progressive state -- as America turns WAYYY more conservative -- we still are pretty progressive at heart -- and it seems even WAY CLEARER now that the 2004 Gov race was a Fuck You to Cayetano by some chap-ass Ds than a change the landscape win by LL
Of course, the 4000 ballots may change some of this ... it's been a weird night
You know, maybe you're on to something
It's like that's really what it has come down to nowadays -- the lack of candidates of quality basically leaves us with the choice so satired by South Park
Often voting is the choice between a Turd Sandwich and a Giant Douche
for the mayors race i couldn't really decide if i liked the carsalesman or the stiff serious guy. in the end i hoped the later would have won though. the only way to win that game was not to play.
