You know, this is the election that will not die -- I have read reports today -- no, not rumors on the Internets -- ha
Anyways, apparently North Carolina edges toward a throw it out re-vote because the electronic system is all screwed up -- in Ohio, two of the presidential candidates plan to apply for a recount, after the result is certified (huh? I thought it was, already) -- BlackBoxVoting is planning to project manage a recount of FLA -- NH is close to a recount with Nader partly leading the charge -- NV has some weirdness going on and is moving towards a recount
And the Kerry campaign yesterday issued a statement saying essentially the results are not in doubt
Should we care? Certainly the media doesn't want us to -- that's not to say, don't trust mainstream media -- when the only one covering the stories right now is ex-ESPNer Keith Olbermann on MSNBC, and some of the frustrated journalists in big media are waiting for him to break something so the floodgates can open up on this -- at the end of the day, it seems that media is gutless and worthless
I'm not saying this because I wish the national presidential election results to devolve into a quagmire -- quite the opposite, I just want this stuff to be put to rest because conspiracy theories serve no one well all of the time -- but when there are problems in states that could swing a close election, shouldn't there be some patience to discover what problems might exist, if any?
When exit polls have been discredited, and actual registered democrats in counties far outnumber Rs -- and then the vote totals come out overwhelmingly R -- it at least is a silent cry for a closer look, even if Jesusland carried the day
sheesh, I hope not
but I don't anticipate anyone coming forward and saying
umm, yeah we did that OR oh yeah, he did that
The newest thing is the so called hack the vote -- which
seems even more out there
conspiracy?
