It is very easy to say that I have just logged one of the TOP 5 performances that I have ever seen live last night
Jason Mraz live at the Hawaii Theatre was a really fun night of witty asides, great acoustic performance, and one of the most dynamic voices in the music industry bar none
SD and I were talking today -- and that's the best way we can put it -- his CD is like almost overproduced in terms of levelling his vocals with the band -- but live, DAMN -- that is a colorful, vibrant voice
It is performers like him who generate a snob factor in me about things like American Idol and the other overproduced hit maker cut out types -- I mean, you see mercurial talent and you just go damn, I have seen a higher level, higher gear that most musical artists do not have
His enthusiasm is infectious as well -- I think one of the primary reasons that I liked it so much was the mastery -- the IT factor -- you know it when you see it ... I liked the other performers on the bill, too -- Makana, brilliant instrument player and technician -- Tristan, great voice, interesting songs ... but you just can't match them up with what Mraz brings in terms of the total and complete entertainment factor
So count me among the converted, Mraz live is just amazing -- makes me actually think about heading to Kauai next weekend to check out his show

Oh btw, I've been living off of the live internet archives search engine -- which has tons of acoustic Mraz, much of it really amazing high quality stuff
http://www.archive.org
I've been able to find all of the songs performed live at HT last night (at different venues of course) -- I'm on the lookout for those sneaky fux who might have got last night's show -- I hope so
Yea, I went to Mraz's concert saturday and have been looking online for a recording of it, which is how I came across your site.
And I followed your link to archive.org and downloaded a few, but I seem to not have the right medium/media player needed to play the songs. Is there a specific software I need to dl from archive to play them?
Oh, and just judging from your critique on mraz, another artist I think you might like (or already heard of) is guitarist by the name of Ari Hest. He doens't have the stage presence mraz has but he has all-original acoustic/vocal stuff that's pretty good.
Oh and just curious, but what kind of blog is this? I'm familiar with xanga but am not too sure what you're using, or if it's just a personal journal...
hahaha
you really hated it, huh
bleah to makana.
