I'm not sure when it was that horror movies decided to include loud music in their soundtracks -- in fact I think I do remember when horror movies started to do it, I think it was in Maximum Overdrive
Anyways, now I think it is mere promotional chicanery because in no way are all the songs clipped and played in movie -- I suppose they should call it new music/new artist sampler rather than RE sequel soundtrack
Approaching it like this, I really have no grade for the sampler overall -- this one features a bunch of tracks from different artists -- nothing particularly remarkable
At the end of the day, I think this was a pretty foolish blind purchase on my part, as I have not seen the movie (and when I think about it, I don't really intend to any time soon) -- and I don't really plan on playing the CD a lot any time soon, either
