So I was thinking to myself today -- does it make sense in this world supposedly made safe for globalization by our nation (and no, I'm not saying this is a good thing) -- that we don't get some of the new releases before Britain does ... or the Great White North for that matter?
I am playing the role of the whiny amcan -- but man, why should we have to wait for the new Kings of Leon which just came out here -- why should we have to wait for Kasabian -- or now the new stuff from Athlete -- I mean, why should I pay import prices when I can wait til April -- when I'm tired of their music ...LOL
I don't get it, I really don't -- in the meantime, I guess I'll just listen to Wires on Virgin -- while waiting for Tourist from Athlete to be distributed in America

I have heard the marketing rationale for it -- and I'm like umm, so amcans wouldn't pay more upfront -- seems lame but that's it in a nutshell -- but they would pay later -- go figure
i ask myself the same question a whole lot. why is japan a market that gets such special treatment with bonus tracks and extra b-sides? i mean seriously... do they think if they DONT put this stuff on no one will buy it?
i always feel cheated when i see a special "IMPORT" version with a bunch-o-stuff i shoulda gotten with the release i just bought a month ago in good ol USA. Instead, I either gotta fork over more of my hard earned moola, hunt down a place that has the cd and pay additional EMS shipping on top of it all or wait a whole decade for a compilation or anthology to be released. what gives man?
