Well, the Mraz is touring with Alanis on her Jagged Pill Acoustic tour this summer -- and we finally have a release date on the new "Mr. A-Z" -- now coming on July 26th

I was thinking that I wouldn't mind seeing Colin Hay live, yes he of the former Men At Work -- apparently he is doing standup comedy now, yes I am as surprised as you are -- well, he does play some shows, too -- so perhaps one of these days he'll swing into our part of the woods
---
Spot check on the Norah show tix -- well, you can now sit in section 24, row M -- seems like a pretty good indication that the show is pretty close to being sold out -- I never imagined seeing her in an arena, so we'll see ... Saturday should be good
---
While on TixBasterd, I saw that two cover bands were playing Pipeline towards the end of next month -- Kiss Army and Buddhist Priest -- so I guess we can see real cover bands instead of spending money on bands doing covers -- really, it's not a riddle LOL

Denison Marrs - Denison Marrs
I'm really enjoying the music of Denison Marrs -- I suppose I'm really late to get on the bandwagon on this -- their song "Disappear" of their 2004 release, I am playing and liking a lot (the vox sounds similar to Bono) -- their music is best described as new retro 80s new wave/college rock sounding -- and they are an Inspirational band -- it's pretty cool to see that this is another Xtian band that really has a legitimate rock sound -- if I were to describe who they are close in sound to is that they have elements of U2, HHH, Joy Div/New O and Modest Mouse
They also have a previous release, "Then is the new now" -- with a crunchy rocking version of 80s new wave classic "Send Me An Angel" -- IMO the self-titled newer album is the better album, but this one also is highly listenable if you liked the 80s new wave/college rock style
not sure about this but i could have sworn another rock act is going to play pipeline soon. i cant remember off the top of my head which one though.
