How many times can a story be told before it becomes a bunch of overhyped excess?
Well, there is yet another Metallica documentary, this time on VH1 ... and I mean, it's nothing new -- seems to be just another way to hype the IMO overhyped SKOM documentary
I'm really tired, in fact, burnt out over the whole Met overexposure thing that's been going on for close to two years straight now -- I realize that I am one of millions of casual and serious Met fans -- but even the most hardcore among us must admit, it's a bit much
It is so much that I don't even want to watch it -- and dos, I am very critical of what they have put out musically since None More Black (Smell the Glove, too)
It was interesting to me to watch the Strapping Young Lad DVD -- Devin was saying how all of metal performance is a parody, the style is really overblown and a parody -- and Strapping is one of the most metal of the metal
Alt rocky, hard rocky, bluesy, and now garagey Met -- honestly, it's been close to 17 years since Metallica has been heavy, low end, fast, and melodic --
And for now, their stuff goes into hibernation for me -- just tired of it
