Okay, who was complaining about SocSec before this year? I mean, who had a legit bitch with it ... no one, it was a pretty successful social insurance program over its history

I find it interesting because El Busho is proposing a SAVINGS plan, rather than how it is structured right now, which is an INSURANCE plan
Right now, we pay a chunk off our checks to act as future insurance for us -- you could make out with more, you could make out with less ... such is the nature of insurance -- but you're pretty sure to get something
Under the savings or private investment accounts approach, I think they want to let someone like me cut 1000 a month in SS taxes ... now depending on the idea, either I can invest that in private accounts with stocks OR I can BECAUSE I'M SO RATIONAL apply that 1000 any way I like
Okay, so tell me, if I get an extra 1000 a month, am I all of a sudden taking that money and buying 5-10 shares of Google ... are you kidding me? I do live in HI ... or maybe I'm gonna plunk it in a savings account and get 1+% APR
The only benefit I can see is that corporations or employers SAVE on the match of my 1000 per month ... can you see how this is a really big windfall of profits for some corps, I mean, if you have 1000 employees, that's 1 mil to the bottom line, the numbers get more staggering with larger MNCs
So at the end of the day, if you saved, maybe you might be okay ... if you didn't you're fukt -- and all I can see is that someone else's pockets got lined
It really is a dark time, almost in a Star Warsian sense, I have never really thought of my future darkly until this year

all the while, more houses get built, more renters are displaced as houses go for record amounts, more cars are bought because people can't afford a home, more illegit kids are born, schools become over crowded, fast food chains hire entire staffs of people who cant speak english and screw up your order, traffic gets worse with each lexus sold to the fat woman with 4 dirty kids ages 2,3,4 and 7 with the 20 gold hawaiian bracelets and the ebt card
the answer isn't more growth. maybe the answer is less politicians?
