TOP 8: Groom in for the Yankees, one of the bright spots so far this season for the Yankees -- Chavez grounds to short -- Hatteberg down looking, two away -- Groom gets a grounder to third the end the inning

BOT 8: Zito will go another, against the weak part of the Yankee lineup -- Flaherty draws a walk -- Cano ain't showing nothing but being a weak hitter, topped back to Zito, gets the force at second, no play at first, one away

Jeter hits a rocket grounder to Chavez, great stab by Chavez and he will rob ... no wait, the throw is in the dirt to first, all runners safe

That's an error?!?!?!?!? sheezoos ... okay, now they've changed it to hit and an error on the throw, that's fairer

One away, runners first and third -- Torre pulling the strings, Posada PH for Womack -- amazingly to me Maca stays with Zito -- Jorge slaps it through the infield to right, one run scores, the lead is cut to 3-2

Maca goes to the bullpen now, I would second guess it as one batter too late -- Dotel in to face Sheffield ... great outing for Zito, seems like I'm saying this a lot lately for opposing starters

Durazo weakly chops the 2-2 back at Rivera, puts him out -- Ginter ... frozen pizza, two away -- Byrnes flies to right ... impressive inning for Mo

BOT 9: ARod grounds weakly out to short -- Bernie struck out looking, didn't lift the bat off his shoulder at all -- Phillips pops to the left of the plate to retire the side

TOP 10: Mo in for inning two of work -- full count to Scutaro, the payoff ... ball four, he walks -- Kotsay, bunt is on, and looks terrible at it, and falls behind 0-2, the 1-2 pitch paints the black, Kotsay glares at the ump, one away

Runner at first, one out -- Kendall's first go against Mo ... uno, dos ... and PLUNK, darn

Runners at first and second now -- full count to Chavez, the payoff ... the ball is hit, stretches Jeter to the backhand side, throw to second, not in time

HOOBOY, KILLING ME ... bases loaded, one down -- Hatteberg hits one at Tino, slight bobble, puts out the runner at first, bad throw to the plate

And TWO RUNS score ... and it turns out HE DIDN'T EVEN TOUCH FIRST

A's back in front, 5-3

Grounder to ARod at third, throw to the plate, two down -- Durazo grounds to ARod, it bounces off his glove ... what more can be said

Bases loaded, two down -- the Yankees are going down again

Full count to Ginter, and pitch 46 for Mo is ball four, a run scores, 6-3

Byrnes down swinging .... and that was a bitch of a sloppy defensive inning and Mo wasn't sharp at all

BOT 10: Rincon in to match lefties, save situation ... four pitch walk to Tino -- Cano pops up to short right, right fielder calls off the SS, and he ... DROPS the ball, Tino is out ... and that's more fricking bad luck, ARGGGGGGGGGGGHH

One down, runner at first -- Rincon gets the hook, in comes Kiko Calero for the A's to face Jeter -- Jeter lines what should be a flair to right, shifted perfectly and two down -- Posada pops out to second to end the game

Later post-op (revision):
Posada runs the Yankees out of the inning, with ARod holding the bat
Mo has a really bad tenth that isn't fricking helped by THREE fielding errors, and I saw some of the same things plaguing the Yankees ... bad infield defense
Everything is against the Yankees now ...

Another quality start by Pavano, by the boards ... ironically, this is one of those games where the problem is the opposing pitcher ... much like last week with Halladay ... man, no breaks -- tough, man, tough
