It seems as if people have gone totally crazy with our snack table at our office. It seems to have the normal omiyage stuff, as well as stuff that quite clearly no one would eat at their house ... sooo we would eat it here instead?
Well, not that much interesting in the line of tidbits, but this week has been the week that it was revealed there will be another Live Aid show, not a telethon for pledging money but one to raise awareness about the problems of spiraling debt in less fortunate countries, "free" trade, and globalisation (yeah why not, it is a UK thing ....)
Perhaps the more ironic thing is that this was filtered to my spam on Gmail yesterday, as I had signed up for info from the MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY website
When I was looking at the confirmed artists for the London show I was like, yeah that's a pretty awesome lineup, but ... YTF is Mariah Carey closing the night, I mean, is she BIGGER than Coldplay ... IN F'N LONDON?!?!?!?! good Jeebus ... or for that matter, Elton John, Paul McCartney, U2 or Madonna (all on the bill, btw) ... WOW, seriously stunned with this one, I hope it's not a list in order, but if it is ... milking this one LOL
A-Ha will close the show in Berlin ... yes I hear the collective HUH rising globally ... "Take on Me", thank you goodnight LOL
Duran Duran closing it in Rome ... boy this is seriously beginning to look Live Aid 85 with the act choices ... And Bon Jovi closing out Philly, ahead of Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z and DMB ... go figure
