In the wrong direction.
There comes a point where nice becomes an obstacle to common sense. For example, if something was going wrong ... and you noticed it was wrong, would you wait until much after the fact to tell someone, hey I knew what you were doing was wrong ... (but because of being nice) I couldn't tell you at the time
