Passion Free

Today was usually a day where I would stop everything at the release of the new college football title for my sonyFATstation

I went in to go get it AGAIN this year, and stood in line again ... and listened to each customer get pitched to preorder the pro football game coming out in three weeks

I guess my point is, either I have a life now (HIGHLY DOUBTFUL) or I just don't find these things to be that enjoyable to spend hour after hour playing anymore. I don't begrudge anyone their videogame playing or obsessions ... I just don't find it worthwhile to spend the time to get immersed. A true sign of getting old (PROBABLY)

The other thing is that I think that little soft-co in San Mateo is falling prey to some of the BIG pitfalls that all sw monopolies do in time. More and obvious glitches and bugs are befalling the game. And to me, it is easy to point to the fact that they have drawn exclusive licensing, and since there is no competition ... why improve?

I can see why improve ... what I cannot see, is why fall back? With errors and quirks that were not present in previous versions, it really is hard to come back every year and get a "new" minimally improved edition
