It's games like yesterday ... hooboy, the Yankees really need quality starts from their stars, and probably need to look at getting one or two more solid starters that can keep them in games

Clement will get the hook, Gonzalez will pitch for BOS -- full count to Jeter, he lines a single to left, another run in, NYY now 6-0

Runners at the corners for Cano, he flies to the edge of the track in left to end the massive two out rally

BOT 3: Mueller grounds to third, one down -- Bellhorn deposits one in the Monsteh seats, a solo shot to left -- the score is now Yankees, 6-1

Damon draws a four pitch walk -- Renteria goes down swinging (RJ 4), two away -- Ortiz also goes down swinging to end the rally (RJ 5)

TOP 4: Sheffield grounds to third, one down -- Arod flies to right, two away -- Matsui flies to right to retire the side

BOT 4: Manny bashes one to right center .... gone, a leadoff solo shot -- the score is now Yankees, 6-2

Millar issued a four pitch walk (again to the next batter after a HR against) -- Stottlemyre in to confer -- Varitek goes down swinging (RJ 6), one down -- Mirabelli lines a single to left, runners at first and second

Mueller chops a seeing eye single up the middle ... Sveum holds up Millar at third, this hangs up Mirabelli in no man's land between second and third, he is tagged out, two away

Runners at the corners for Bellhorn, he goes down swinging after the full count payoff (RJ 7) to end the rally

TOP 5: Gonzalez continues -- Giambi rips a leadoff double to the deepest part of the park -- Bernie pops to third, one down -- Tino grounds to short, the runner holds, two away -- Flaherty pops foul to third to retire the side ... the leadoff double goes by the boards

BOT 5: Damon goes down looking (RJ 8), one down -- Renteria lines one to the gap in left center by Matsui, to the wall ... he is in with a double -- Ortiz flies to the deepest part of the park ... but Bernie is there, the runner tags and goes to third, two away -- Manny reaches out and lines one the opposite way to right ... it is in the crowd on a hop, a run scoring ground rule double -- the score is now NY 6-3

Millar lifts a single to center, another run will score -- the score is now Yankees 6-4

Crowd taunting the Unit with the Randy cheer -- Varitek flies to center to end the rally

TOP 6: Gonzalez continues -- Embree warms for BOS. Sturtze warms for NY -- Jeter grounds sharply to short, one down -- Cano lines a single to center -- Sheffield grounds to third into a 543 double play to retire the side

BOT 6: Mirabelli draws a leadoff walk -- Mueller pops to right, one down -- Bellhorn goes down swinging, two away (RJ 9) -- Damon bloops a two out single to center, runners first and second ... Mirabelli not running with two outs, huh?!?

Yankees get a big inning ... decent but not outstanding pitching from the Unit, with great pitching by the bullpen, and secure at least a split ... which is huge considering the Yankee's pitching woes
