I had heard that the White Sox were playing Journey's Don't Stop Believin' lately ... well, I suppose you would need an anthem too if you hadn't won a World Series since 1917
What I did not expect was to see Steve Perry in the crowd at the game ... yes THAT STEVE PERRY ... he was almost hard to detect with his baseball cap pulled down over his 1981 style long straight hair and ... and still looking as thin as ever ... it struck me that if you became famous, that's a good thing -- and it is what so many want ... then I thought, okay so what happens after you're an icon, you start trying to hide yourself with stuff that couldn't hide your identity in 8 million years ... well, it was cool to see Steve in public, for the first time since the walk of fame day
Well, two things struck me as I watched the extra innings World Series bonanza tonight
Number one is that when teams can't hit in extra innings ... eventually you get ideas in your mind about how to better spend your time, and one is unconscious and made for you ... you can fall asleep OR
You can sit there and think ... sheesh, when is someone going to get a run scoring hit already ... and why am I sitting here ... oh of course because if I leave, they will score and I will miss it --- and in all cases, will have wasted a great deal of time
