It is what it is.

When the best part of a team goes against the worst part of yours, domination usually occurs on the football field. Last night was no exception.

That being said, it was a great ride this season. I never thought that UH would go undefeated in a regular season schedule, much less go to a BCS bowl in my lifetime.

Looking back as someone who had season tickets for the 0-12 season in 1998, the team has come a long, LONG way back, not only to respectability, but to make an appearance at that elusive "next level" of college football. The level for teams with much larger budgets and where better athletes 1-105 play.

I'm not sure that UH can be at the "next level" consistently, given so many constraints that the football program faces. But, for at least one night, it was my team, our team, on the national stage in the big game. And that is pretty sweet.

Kudos and thanks to the team this year and the coaching staff. Great job all around.
