Probot - Probot REVIEW

Insomnia strikes, so you all get the meanderings of a very tired, underslept humanoid --> moi

Probot - Probot: C+/B-

Dave Grohl, yes you know the one -- ex of Nirvana and frontage for the Foo Fighters -- one of the better drummers in rock today -- that's him -- and this is his tribute to underground metal from 83-90 -- yes I am that old to remember it, and GASP be a fan of it

As much as I tried to love this album, I realize at the end of the day that I only LIKE this album -- this CD has its moments -- the track with Cronos of VENOM leads its off and is a mindcrusher of a rocker, the remaining CD is fairly ordinary -- the track with Lemmy of Motorhead is vintage MH -- and worth more than a few spins -- the tracks with Mike Dean of COC and Snake of Voivod are also mentionable -- but like most tributes to an era, it just fails to capture the precise spirit of it all -- so although it's a good fabrication, it lacks that little push over the cliff -- anyone for 11????
