Unremarkable
I must say that today was fairly unremarkable -- I won't even complain about the continuing sticky weather
Ever had an experience with something that someone hyped too much? Well, tonight we watched In America on DVD
This supposedly was some really great, emotional drama -- well it was good, and that's about it. It wasn't tragic or sad, it wasn't tremendously good, nor was it tremendously bad.
An immigrant's life in all its mundane glory -- in the end, I think most people want to make a big thing about "letting go" and living on -- I thought that BY DEFINITION if you are an immigrant to the US, and are dirt poor
Well, you aint got much but to live on and let go of your old ways -- this movie was all about the struggle of life in a new place, with new rules, new people, etc. -- I didn't think or get from the movie that the EMOTIONAL HANG UP was that big of a deal -- yes, it was a plot device, but it was not all consuming or so big and insurmountable
Unremarkable ... that sums it up, good but not that good
