She Devil's Corner

"So why don't you close your curtains at night?", she asked.

This has been an ongoing loose debate that SD and I have been having over the proper use of curtains

From my standpoint, the curtains in my bedroom are largely to shade the room from the afternoon, lest all my everything get blanched white from direct sunshine -- it also serves to shade the room from getting super hot

SD is of the opinion that curtains should be closed at night. The curtains at her house in the living room are closed at night. I think the reason why is that their living room faces the street, and at night everyone would be able to look in

That is not the case at my house, my room windows are elevated probably a good 15-20 ft. off the ground

There could be other rationales for me to shut my curtains at night, like so-called best sleep environment practices ... but then I should also close all my windows because my neighbors have no concept about LOUD and LATE

At the end of the day, I think I have seen that there are so many different ideas about closing your curtains ... it's just relative
