Yankees trying to salvage one in the Yankee Stadium stand in the Subway Series, and basically right the ship after a rough go of it this week against the Rays and the Mets ... the last game of this season's interleague play is also the Captain's 31st birthday

A very ugly game late that the Yankees managed to grind out despite their recent struggles. Overall a respectable 8-5 record on the homestand, of course, tainted somewhat by the three losses to the Rays and losing the series to the Mets
